Roman Villa Silj
The Roman Villa Silj is on the doorstep of Rome. The villa is the central location for many of the stories in the book Carmen Via - Journey in the Songlines of Italy. This glorious villa stands at the dividing line between the ancient Etruscan and Roman worlds: the first and second major civilizations on western soil. Very close by is the site where Emperor Constantine camped before the battle that established Christianity as the main religion of the West. Also nearby is the country villa of Emperor Augustus.
The Roman Villa Silj is a beautiful and historic residence in secluded gardens, surrounded by secular pines and cypress trees and is comfortably and elegantly furnished. It is once again the hub of the 'Convivium Romanum'. There are four houses which provide space and community for up to 22 people.
It is frequently said that 60% of the world's art treasures are in Italy, half of those in Rome. That means 30% of the worlds art treasures are within 10-60 min ride from this villa. We offer hosted explorations to where the guide books do not take you. Please contact us for details using the LIVE help facility or find out more from the Roman Villa web site.
